i just wanted to let you all know...

how grateful i am for the support!!

we got home late saturday. my life, maddie's life, our family life as a whole was forever changed by this last week. we met families who's children are fighting for their lives and had the most amazing care by the most amazing doctors and nurses. i have so much to say and share about our experience but we are still helping the bean heal and slowly catching up on so much lost sleep.

thank you SO much for all of your prayers & hugs & well wishes. i felt every ounce of it last thursday and have every intention of replying to each one of you personally, but right now i just want to be with my family and process it all.

three days

we've got three days until this one, my first, my girl, my best friend and my most beautiful daughter is headed back to stanford for another round of surgery. i thought that the first time we were there i would learn that worrying and fretting doesn't help, it doesn't you know.... but unfortunately my nerves haven't listened and i'm finding myself turning into a flitter stomached mama all over again.

about two years ago we discovered through some late night er visits with fevers and chills that she has vesicoureteral reflux. after 3 vcug's and two years of prophylactic antibiotics she's still a stage 4/5. almost the worst of the worst.

i've barely slept in the past two weeks. i either go to bed extremely late because i just can't quiet my mind, or i wake up at 5 am because my stomach is in a knot of worry. the worst though, i think, is the endless nights of 2-3 hour mid night insomnia. i get up. i drink a glass of water. i surf the net or watch something extremely uninteresting on hulu. nothing has helped. nothing will help until we are past this milestone and on the recovery end... this i know.

so i go about my day {and night} pretending and keeping us as busy as i possibly can. i mostly keep my worries to myself and pray that she'll be ok. i just want her to be ok.

sometimes i'm all about the pink

new june projects for hambly. aparently i'm all about the pink this month, funny thing is i have two more layouts almost finished and they are all about the pink too ... must be in a girlie mood. lol i adore the all mixed up papers, makes me feel all amazing like my lovely friend dina without having to do alot of work.... ;)

the background brown cardstock was a piece i had leftover after cutting some strips for other projects out. i just filled in the missing areas with some vintage ledger paper { might see more of this for kr june ;) } and added the pink overlay on top.

this one is part of a clear scraps / hambly porduct swap we are doing. that little acrylic cupcake mini of theirs is so adorable. can't wait to hang this in miss maddies room... she was giddy when she saw me making it. such a lucky girl. :)

and just a quickie card. i had an extra paper rosette and an extra pre-stitched card so this took all of about 2 minutes.
