i managed somehow, in between various doctor appointments at stanford for the bean and a birthday party and some other birthday parties and the typical crazy mama & business duties to create all four of these projects for the march kenner road reveal. whew. this past month has been a whirlwind for me. lol, thank goodness i made myself sit down and create for a while. it saved me, it truly did.
i adore the layout above. i printed that picture about 6 months ago and it's been sitting in my to do pile for that long. i've grabbed it each month trying to figure out exactly how to get my thoughts on the page and each month it went right back. i couldn't figure it out, it wasn't "coming across right" in my head.
but this month i knew. it's not so much about the pic, although good grapes don't you just adore his little peeking tummy? squish!!
no, this one is all about what we used to do, and that pic captures it all. the lazy mama days when i thought life was crazy {but truly wasn't} and we would make forts out of my great grandmothers quilts and play and laugh and giggle. those really were the simple days.
he was hiding from me in this one. the mind of a 2 year old. ;)
this one was super quick for me, 20 minutes, and that is very rare! we have a new niece in the family and i wanted to document these pics i stole from my sil's blog so i could have a pic of big & little for my pile {i really need to start getting albums so i can say album... lol}. isn't it the sweetest? and i don't even care that it's low resolution from the blog. not at all.
this one is probably one of my most special of all. that is my bama in the middle on her 87th birthday surrounded by four generations, including her three of her great-grandchildren {she has 8 total !!}. we had a lovely afternoon tea, girls only, and it was so nice, especially since we generally only see my aunt's half twice a year.
and this is for the alameda project kit and class pass. we'll be crating the loveliest three projects using a cutting quilt that i have had forever mixed in with some beautiful vintage style buttons and dear lizzy. it's quite a beautiful mini and the other two projects are just as sweet and filled with more vintage charm. there's a few left if you want to join us. :)
i'll show more of it when the class is over.
also, i wanted to announce the winner of my destash box :
send me your information amber and i'll get it out to you asap!
kl {at!} kenner road {dot!!} com
and i will have another one to giveaway later this week. i tell you, i am destashing like crazy right now!!
