my sweet friend cortney was in town yesterday for some much needed girl time, including some shopping and a guiness on draft at the local pub. the perfect afternoon.
afterwards we headed back to casa yeary and i finally sat down and finished the ribbon flowers i was working on two weeks ago while cort made the most adorable mothers day cards from the ninepatch kit.
when i originally bought the tutorial from rebecca i was thinking before i made the purchase, oh, i can figure out how to make those. but then i started thinking of the time and effort rebecca put into the tutorial and i am a big believer in supporting other artists, especially other women artist. especially other women artists.
so if you love this and would like to make one i really encourage you to purchase the original tutorial from rebecca and then just take the parts you love and make it your own. fabric, paper, ribbon, linen.
in fact i encourage you to do that anytime you see a class or tutorial that you are inspired by. it truly is the best part about teaching and learning for me. drawing from your inspiration and then spin it to suit your design aesthetic. in the end it needs to be something you love.
happy saturday!
xo
this is gorgeous! I can't imagine how she came up with this, amazing.

I bought it. I love the wreath idea you had. What did you attach your flowers to ... a wreath form of some sort? I'm totally copying you on that part. I love it!
