It's been a long time since I've done a swap so when I saw Kari's May Day basket swap posted last month I jumped at the chance to join. I was excited to hunt & gather for someone and then when I got the news that I was trading with Kari I really got excited :)
Then, last week I received a huge box from her with my basket hidden inside and I can't even tell you how much will power it took not to rip it open when it arrived as I knew she would pack it with wonderful treasures. And pack it she did.
It was all so much lovelier that I could have anticipated!
When I opened it i actually squealed a little because she sent some of the most amazing finds and goodies. She sent sheet music and buttons and ephemera and millinery flowers and the beautiful Black Apple Odd Fellow's catalog and fabric and so many little bits and bobs.
When she asked what I loved to get an idea of what she should gather I shared that I was a lover of everything tattered, that I was a rustic & primitive vintage type girl and I have to say she got me perfectly. And the beautiful little wool blanket patchwork was the icing on the cake as I have been looking for a little fabric piece to use as a table runner in the dining room and this is just perfect!
Thank you SO MUCH kari, I adore all of it!
You can see what I sent her in return here.
Also, I'm a few days late and wanted to let you all know who won my Hambly {i}NSD giveaway :
