artistic affaire : moulin rouge

 

i just wanted to give a head's up to those of you who are interested that registration for Artistic Affaire Moulin Rouge in Manhatten Beach, California go live tomorrow at 8am pacific {{info here}} + {{register here}}. I've heard it's over half full already so don't wait too long to decide. ;)

I will be in the company of some seriously talented teachers during the event, including; jenny & aaron, shea fragoso & colleen moody in addition to myself {sneak peek of my project above}.

busy busy busy

i've been working on my class for artistic bliss : moulin rouge for what has seemed like forever. 5 different projects, 4 discarded and dismembered, all finally lead to this one sneaked above. to say that i'm my biggest critic would be an understatement. i woory so much about whether my students will love it, whether it will inspire them to take the example and make it their own.

thank goodness i had my head examined by a few sweet friends who each helped me put the doubts on the back burner so that the loveliness could shine through.

*whew*

registration opens on october 17th, and there are some seriously inspiring teachers joining me, jenny & aaron, shea fragoso & colleen moody will all be there and they are all amazing! i'd love to see some other familiar faces so i hope some of you can come. :)

iother than that, because really, i've been working through it for quite some time, here are a few things that have helped the inspiration when i had thought the well was running dry.

Silver Bella 2010

Someone needs to pinch me because I'll be teaching at SIlver Bella 2010 along with an amazing circle of instructors; Charlotte Lyons, Betz White, Colette Copeland, Sally Jean Alexander, Lisa Kaus, Kaari Meng, Beth Quinn, {me!} and Lynn Whipple. Plus, Teresa just announced that  Jenny Doh is speaking. eeks!

I was an attendee a few years ago {with my east bound bff} and have wanted to return ever since, but there has always been a conflict. razzle frazzle.

I seriously keep pinching myself every time I think about it and see my picture included in that line up. Seriously. Do you SEE the company I'll be surrounded by? Add to that the amazing students and it is going to be a fabulous weekend in Omaha.

The event is the weekend of November 11th - 14th and registration opens on April 6th. If you are a paper crafter I highly recommend the event.

In other news i really need to take a new headshot. that pic is three years old and i look a little different now that i wear glasses daily ;). maybe as soon as I stop hacking up a lung each night.
